New York State Conservation Council, Inc.

A non-profit organization preserving and protecting the world we live in

New York Outdoor & Environmental Educators!

The Leopold Education Project (LEP), coordinated by the New York State Conservation Council, Inc. with the support of area conservation groups, could be coming to your area. Don’t miss your opportunity to learn about this innovative, interdisciplinary conservation ethics curriculum targeted for educators of grade levels 6-12. During this one-day workshop, participants will be trained in the LEP curriculum through various indoor and outdoor activities, which will expand their abilities to “read the landscape”.

The Leopold Education Project is an innovative, interdisciplinary, educational program based on the classic writings of the renowned conservationist, Aldo Leopold.  The LEP was developed to teach the public about humanity’s ties to the natural world. This educators’ workshop will instruct participants on how to teach this curriculum to students in their community.

If you would like to learn more about the project or wish to schedule a workshop in your area,  please contact the NYSCC at nyscc@nyscc.com.
