2008 Legislative Meeting

The 2008 Legislative Meeting of the New York State Conservation Council will be held on Monday, March 10, 2008, at the Best Western Albany Airport Inn at 200 Wolf Road in Albany.  Our Sportsmen’s Legislative Rendezvous (formerly "Sportsmen's March on Albany") will take place on Tuesday, March 11. 

Directions: Call or E-Mail the NYSCC office.

Reservations:  Through the NYSCC using the form provided.  A room block will be held until March 1; get your reservation in early!

Tuesday, March 11                 Sportsmen’s Legislative Rendezvous (formerly known as “Sportsmen’s March on Albany”)

8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Pick up legislator packets in Room 828 LOB

9:00 a.m.                      – Visits in your legislators’ offices:

Please use the regional approach and set up group appointments with all the counties in a region to meet all the legislators in a region.  You should use your Regional Director to help coordinate your efforts.  We also need volunteers to meet and greet legislators for whom we have no representatives, mainly downstate.  Please adopt one or two.

(Remember security measures at the LOB – leave behind anything that could be construed to be a weapon.  If you bring it to the checkpoint you will be asked to dispose of it, not to be returned.  If you do not surrender the item, you will not be allowed access to the LOB.)

REMEMBER – Deadline is March 1!

NYSCC Refund Policy:  Each person or organization seeking to cancel a reservation for any NYSCC event will notify the NYSCC Office at least ten (10) days prior to that event.  Any cancellation made after the 10 days prior will be charged the 1^st night’s lodging fee, meal charges, and a $25 processing fee.  All requests for a refund must be submitted in writing following cancellation notification.
